Dr. Ignacio "Nash" Tan is the owner and founder of Prime Vet Corporation and the man behind Edmonton South Animal Hospital. He has been practicing veterinary medicine since earning his degree in 2000. He grew up in the Philippines and was always around animals, either at home or with his friends. Dr. Tan is moved by the friendship, loyalty, compassion and support that pets provide. He loves the challenges that come with working with animals. Dr. Tan enjoys the personal bonds that he develops with his clients and their pets and gets satisfaction knowing that he is helping them live their lives to the fullest.
Dr. Tan studied in De La Salle Araneta University ,Philippines and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. He attended the Veterinary Skills and Technical Enhancement Program at the Ontario Vet College, University of Guelph in 2009. General practice, emergency medicine, veterinary surgery and dermatology are among his many professional interests. Dr. Tan is also certified to perform TPLO surgeries.
Dr. Tan is Married to Amanda and they have a toddler named Fort, they also have a cat name Shaya who is quite a character. During his time off, He loves to spend time with his family, especially with Fort. He also tries to explore the great Canadian outdoors and enjoys getting lost in foreign places.
Dr. Tera Macdonald is an Associate Veterinarian who graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in Charlottetown, PEI. Her passion for animals started when she was very young. Her grandparents on both sides of her family had Dairy Farms, so she was always around cows, horses, chickens and more. Growing up in the rural areas of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island meant she was never short of furry friends. She recalls how her parents often talk about how at the age of 4 she knew she would be a vet. In her spare time Tera enjoys spending time with her 2 dogs and 3 cats at home. She enjoys exploring Alberta and the Great North – Yukon Territory and British Columbia are some of her favorite places. She also enjoys reading and painting.

Justine is a Registered Veterinary Technician at Edmonton South. She graduated from the Animal Health program at NAIT in 2017. When she is not spending at the clinic she is either spending it with family and friends or with her dog, Monroe. She has always had a passion for helping animals since she was young, and it has been carried on throughout her life. She believes the best part about being a technician is utilizing her skills and helping take care of pets everyday.
Nerissa is from Grande Prairie, and she is a veterinary technician. She decided to work with animals because she wanted to learn more about them and educate others about how to care for their pets. Her hobbies include camping, cooking, and being with friends and family.
