Dr. Ignacio "Nash" Tan is the owner and founder of Prime Vet Corporation and the man behind Edmonton South Animal Hospital. He has been practicing veterinary medicine since earning his degree in 2000. He grew up in the Philippines and was always around animals, either at home or with his friends. Dr. Tan is moved by the friendship, loyalty, compassion and support that pets provide. He loves the challenges that come with working with animals. Dr. Tan enjoys the personal bonds that he develops with his clients and their pets and gets satisfaction knowing that he is helping them live their lives to the fullest.
Dr. Tan studied in De La Salle Araneta University ,Philippines and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. He attended the Veterinary Skills and Technical Enhancement Program at the Ontario Vet College, University of Guelph in 2009. General practice, emergency medicine, veterinary surgery and dermatology are among his many professional interests. Dr. Tan is also certified to perform TPLO surgeries.
Dr. Tan is Married to Amanda and they have a toddler named Fort, they also have a cat name Shaya who is quite a character. During his time off, He loves to spend time with his family, especially with Fort. He also tries to explore the great Canadian outdoors and enjoys getting lost in foreign places.
Dr.Steve Mills joined the team at Edmonton South Animal Hospital in 2014. Steve was born and raised in Calgary, and is thrilled to be practising in his home province. He earned his veterinary degree in 2011 from the University of Saskatchewan after completing degrees in Commerce and Biology at the University of Calgary. Most recently, Steve completed a residency in Veterinary Clinical Pathology,earning his Master of Veterinary Science. He maintains a keen interest in internal medicine, endocrinology, and diagnostic pathology. Outside of the veterinary clinic, Steve is an avid jogger, skier and music enthusiast. Last, but certainly not least, Steve is a dedicated husband and father to two energetic young boys.
Hi, my name is Brittany. I am a Registered Animal Health Technologist (RAHT). I graduated from Olds College in 2015. So far I only have one cat whose name is "Milo". The areas of my job that I enjoy the most are hematology, radiology and parasitology. In my spare time I enjoy volunteering with the Alberta Spay Neuter Task Force (ASNTF) and also spending time with family and friends.
Hi my name is Mackenzie and I am the lead RAHT at Edmonton South. I graduated from NAIT in 2014. My favourite part of my job is radiology and of course getting to cuddle all the puppies that come through the clinic. At home, I have three dogs, a Rottweiler named Kali, a Shepherd cross named Whiskey, and a Chihuahua named Copey. In my spare time I enjoy playing softball, going camping and travelling.
My name is Jomar and I am a Client Service Representative here at Edmonton South Animal Hospital. I was born and raised in the Phillipines before making my way to Edmonton in 2009. While in the Phillipines, I attended a Restaurant Management program which gave me the knowledge and skills needed during my employment with various cruise ships and restaurants. I have two wonderful pets of my own, my feline named Alana and lovable Shih Tzu, Bruno. I enjoy working with people and in my spare time you can find me at the movie theatre catching a new release.
